      Sugar Ray Robinson
      Henry Armstrong
      Harry Greb
      Ezzard Charles

are the ones that really stand out of the top of my head in an all-time sense

Sugar Ray Leonard, Muhammad Ali, Roberto Duran would be the 3 that jump out in the last 40-50 years.

He's in the conversation for sure if you're going on names alone.

He’s probably top 10, but is nowhere near being number 1

Depends on how you look at it i guess. Ali and Leonard have better wins than Floyd. More wins over real ATG fighters.

For sheer volume of really good names, Floyd does take some beating in that department, it's a long list of good names.

Don't think so. Marquez and Pacquaio are possibly/probably top 40-60 all-time but nobody else is top 100. Compare that to Robinson, Greb, Armstrong, Charles, Langford for example have multiple wins over top 25-30 (even top 10 guys) all-time and a plethora of top 50. Each one probably has around 7-10 of the top 100 all-time on their resumes.

Names alone I'd put Floyd's somewhere around 20 or so but it's only two truly great fighters he fought (Marquez and Pacquaio) - that falls short.

There is no way on earth you can tell any sane Boxing fan with two eyes, who can actually watch Greb and Armstrong, that they're better than Floyd. Look at the stances, it's totally different eras. You can spin it how you like. Floyd fought a better level of competition. The footage is there.

Post 1 fight from either fighter that is on the level of any Floyd fight please?.
You have to measure relative to their era's if your talking all-time. Did I say they are better now and would beat him heads up? Point to me where I said that.

                      i forgot

                      chavez
                      baldomir (lineal champ)
                      manfredy
                      corley
                      mcgregor

ali was transcendent and all that but in the ring, no one did it like floyd did for almost 3 decades.

edit: and the DC warrior demarcus corley, cat has fought them all and is still fighting, he's like 70 fights in.
