Fox has the same problems if you remember baseball games preempting some fights on regular ESPN the first couple years of boxing on Fox....that is the unfortunate part of live sports
FOX is far more invested so they’ll get their time. They won’t send it to FOX News or something. Never have before and now that they are adding studio shows twice a month, a pre- and post- studio show before each event, they’ll do right by it. That redhead stepchild treatment is for the birds.

fox sent it live before in the past. They aren’t more invested than Espn who has two different Boxing weekly series on the app, weighins in sports center etc.

It’s not red headed stepchild treatment. It’s if a live event spills over they don’t leave thst event until it ends regardless of sport.

Oh there’s a series on the app? Why not both like the FOX deal?

why does Fox only do 10 fight cards a year and ESPN has at least 18 on ESPN? ESPN has weigh ins and interviews right on Sports Center. Why won't Fox do that? Hmmm. Between ESPN and ESPN+ you get 54 fight cards of upper level fights while at FOX you get 10 top tier cards and 12 farm system level cards on FS1....see the difference? ESPN is way more invested in boxing hence a 7 year deal

Nobody will watch Loma beat up a bum when they can watch Wilder Fury.

Those will all be televised. Plus press conferences. Plus Post-fight.

                  And studio shows. Studio.

ESPN has almost nothing but live events on Saturday so of course their cards will over lap with other shows/games.

FOX won't unless there is college football or college basketball coming on before their boxing cards. I guess there is a chance that happens now that they will be showing 10 cards a year.

Not exactly how it works. You look at the budget both networks are putting into boxing. ESPN right now is looking for as much content as possible with the ESPN+ launch.

But ESPN is no doubt invested in boxing. Now, imagine if they end up getting Canelo and GGG to come to ESPN. Sure Canelo in particular won't be fighting on regular ESPN, but he sure will be getting a lot of air time on ESPN shows/SC.
