    UFC President Dana White was either joking or misinformed a few days ago. White, in a video recording, stated that last Saturday's fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor had generated at least 6.5 million buys on pay-per-view. If that were true, the number would easily break the current record of 4.6 million buys, which was set by Mayweather's long awaited showdown with Manny Pacquiao in May of 2015.

        Even if it doesn't...4 million is A LOT of sales, but it'll likely get over that. I had no cable that night until like 2 a.m.

          Pause, for a moment

          The initial number being talked about is in the mid to hi 4m+ for the traditional PPV model.

          That number likely doesn't count the stream from sho.com, the UFC's stream, or whatever other streaming platform that was utilized.

          Let's give this two weeks to shake out

            If it is the highest grossing fight it just goes to show how far talking sheet will get you

                  Why fans can't like both fights? Why does it have to be a competition?Both fights will bring money and fans into boxing.
