    Gans, Duran and Leonard are pretty universal for the top 3 spots on most all time 135 lists, yet I often see Whitaker rated 4th, a spot I think Ortiz is more deserving of based off resume.

      As to the original topic....It's a hard choice as we should take into account the impact Ali had on the sport. Fighter of the Year is maybe more about what they did only in boxing terms, but Ali had such an incredible impact on the sport over that decade so I can understand why he was given it.

        I totally agree about that top 4. What I was referring to specifically was Ortiz possibly being the best fighter of the 1960's.
