Vitali hasn't fought since September, 2012 and is nearly 46 years old. Now what was that question again?

Wlad fought Byrd because they were both high ranked heavyweights. Wlad didn't fight Byrd to avenge Vitali's loss to Byrd. That had nothing to do with it. Vitali was easily beating Byrd when he injured his shoulder. He quit the fight when he was way ahead on points to prevent more serious damage to his shoulder. Vitali could have easily defeated Byrd in a rematch. He didn't need Wlad to beat Byrd for him as you apparently are trying to say. It wasn't like that at all.
You do know they actually did that. They are known to try & tie up guys in slave contracts. If you beat a Klitschko then you rematch him & then fight his brother. They did try & avenge each others losses.

When Vitali quit the fight with Byrd to save his shoulder he was way ahead on all score cards by scores of 83 to 88, 83 to 88 and 82 to 89 all in his favor. It's obvious he was much better than Byrd and would have easily won had he not hurt his shoulder. He could easily have defeated Byrd in a rematch and certainly didn't need Wlad to beat Byrd for him. Byrd earned a title shot at Wlad with his win over Vitali and that is why Wlad fought him. Revenge had nothing to do with it. Vitali never got to rematch Byrd but there is little doubt Vitali would have won a rematch. Vitali was vastly superior to Byrd who was a very light puncher and won't be remember as a great or even a good heavyweight champ. Vitali is remembered by most fans as a great heavyweight champion.

Vitali is my fav heavyweight of all time but he's simply too old and has been retired too long.

That said, even an old 2012 Vitali would have smoked Joshua. Just watch that man in action. There was never a fighter like him. He had moves that most heavies never think about doing and power/chin to match it. To me, Vitali is as strong in a H2H HW matchup as there has ever been.

The only time Vitali should even entertain coming out of retirement, would be for a Butterbean v Holmes type fight. He should not, and will not, under any circumstances, fight someone at the top and entering their prime. It would be suicide.

Hahahaha, what scares me most is that you probably believe that you're saying.

                    Wait, that's not funny.

                    That's ****ed.
