  • why wont any of the top 122 guys fight Rigo? this is getting ridiculous

Rigo is a very good fighter and he is getting up there in age...he may have 2 years left as an elite fight considering the wear and tear of his amatuer career and the long lay offs dont hurt

Will any of these guys have the balls to fight him besides Donaire? remind me who promotes him because they arent doing his talent any justice

Fighters like Rigo need to move up to get the bigger fights and give up advantages. It's not fair but that's just how the game works nowadays.

Some of these fighters need some damn self-belief. Tyson Fury has it, and it took him a long way. Rigo is on the downside of his career. He doesn't have a good chin and he is there to be beat (of course, it would have to be a very good fighter). Quigg or Frampton should believe in themselves and go for it.

that sucks considering he looks small even at 122...He could beat Russell, Mares and Santa Cruz.....Rigo and Loma would be the biggest featherweight fight since the Barrera, Pac, Jmm, Morales era

                  .
it's the networks who really don't want him on tv.
Jhoony Gonzalez spoke about this a while back when they asked him about fighting Rigo. He said his promoters at the time mentioned him as well as a list of other opponents, but the networks were not receptive to Rigo it so they scratched him off the list. He said negotiating a fight in boxing is hard enough as it is and there was no need to haggle with the network as well.
Not to mention Rigo brings no fans no money and a tough day at the office.

I hope the Frampton-Quigg winner will fight him.
