The Red Wings, going into this season, had the longest active consecutive postseason stretch in North America pro sports

24 straight seasons making the playoffs

But that's finally coming to an end this year

i hate to say it, but pro hockey is nothing like it used to be. they've basically turned it into international hockey. the game is nothing like the grame i grew up watching in the 90's.

Totally agree, bud. That era was awesome. There were some real wars then. Kinda like the late 80's/early to mid 90's NBA. Colorado/Detroit for example was a f**king bloodbath.

The "rivalries" these days seem pretty tame in comparison.
