Why not?

Lowry has a similar contract. Lowry is 3x less of a player than Westbrook and similar in play style.

Lowry, Ibaka, Gasol. The 3 highest earners are on expiring contracts. Fair enough.

But what do you really expect in the 2020 free agency? Anthony Davis? Not going to happen. Draymond? not going to happen. Conley? Downgrading from even Lowry? Drummond? Toronto doesn't want Westbrook's contract but willing to give Drummond a Westbrook contract? Yeah, no.

We will just go back to rebuilding and we should try to get some of the young and upcoming Canadian players. One day we will get Jamal Murray and some of the others to come back and rep their city.

It’s not easy and he’s awesome. The only knock on him is how he gets his points. He’s not a good shooter and takes some really crappy, ill-advised shots. Especially in the playoffs. He also sometimes seems to let his emotions get the best of him.

I get it but at the same time especially the year before last when OKc was facing elimination in game 6 vs Utah Pg and Melo both were absolutely ****ing terrible and all they did was defer to Westbrook so he could take the blame for the loss. I don’t think those 2 had 20 points even combined. Russ kept them in the game and still loss on a few missed buzzer beaters.

All things considered, things turned out perfect.

Giannis gets outplayed all the time. He's a media created hype job. Great player, but no where near MVP level. He's barely top 10.
