F!oyds got a good resume but he didn't always fight the toughest opponents to make resume better.

Is there a reason why youd not fight brook, Spence, Thurman to make a decent resume more decent?
Is there a reason yiud not fight GGG when you think you'd beat him? At a point many were accused of avoiding GGG when he was koing everyone as they feared it would be them next. But Floyd thought otherwise and that he'd beat him? So why diont you fight him?
But a decent resume Floyd has and maybe didn't want it to be better

In 2015 Brook had beaten who??? Porter?? and Spence had defeated who? and how would Thurman have increased his resume? and how can he avoid a middleweight??? GGG never moved up period so now what? name a current fighter with a better resume then mayweather!!!

You are twisting my logic. I said Floyd didn't fight toughest opponents available? If you fight toughest available, rather than weakest you will be considered to have better resume.
Wouldn't Floyd's resume be considered better with a Thurman on it rather than berto? Wouldn't brook be better than Connor?
Exactly Floyd didn't fight GGG as he didn't think he'd beat him. As long as were honest.
PACs got a better resume than Floyd but I suspect you already know that. Cotto beat prime fighters so has case for having better resume

Ahh hello my old friend... like a worn old shoe, the "Floyd's competition" thread, like an old friend you know will show up as long as you make the good canopes... Even if you don't!

Its not as complex as it appears because people tend to impune the whole sordid affair of Floyd's competition with Floyd's willfullness, or lack there of... Is it relevant whether Floyd hid inside a closet in a Cold sweat at the mere mention of a prime Mosley? or the nightmarish Paul Williams with such long arms, he could sit down in his corner and hit Floyd? Or whether he called out such luminaries as Cotto so much that Cotto almost....cracked a smile?

It does not matter WHY, and history will show that there are holes due to Floyd's lack of fighting guys in their prime who were great fighters....History will NOT show that ducking Margarito means anything, or even Williams because it does not. And when we bring in Martinez it becomes positively ridiculous.

Jones had a similar problem in some ways, and... some people say it was because of his father... Bit Jones caught a few prime before he went into second gear.

When talking about a guy who took another way I refer to Andre Ward. Ward beat Dawson when Dawson was considered great and a pound for pound behamoth. If Kovalev does great things then Ward may even look better, but Ward never ducked a challenge. Still, if Kovalev fizzles then I might reluctantly have to say the same thing about Andre... and if I do it won't matter a damn that Ward tried to fight the best, it won't matter a damn that he perhaps took Dawson and exposed him when he was headed for greatness.

Boxing can be cruel, but when we look at guys like Duran and Leonard, and Hagler and Hearns, as examples, these guys had to fight fellow great fighters and.... the reason why this happened simply is irrelevant.

Well, Pacquaio was washed up from 2013 on after getting iced. His career that is as relevant as Ali's in the post Spinks days.

In his prime he fought three great fighters in Marquez, Barrera and Morales. Floyd fought 2 greats (Much smaller Marquez moving up 2 divisions after having just moved up 2 divisions) and washed up Pac so he basically has no greats on his resume.

Floyd called the shots from 2007 and never once got in the ring with a great fighter.

                  Don't ask rhetorical questions?
PAC can fight horn and algiueri as he has a bettervresume than anyone in this era and ius 8 division titilist.
Whilst Floyd can't go around boasting about zero when he didn't fight the toughest available and he cant deny he was a cherry picker also. He certainly did cherrypick to preserve zero

Easily one of the greatest resumes in all of boxing history.

24-0-0 against world champions across 5 weight classes.

Only 2 close fights in his entire career. Dominated the rematches.

Nobody in the history of the sport has been that dominant against that level of competition. It's about time people put their feelings aside & respected it.

We won't see anyone who's even close to as great for a long time.
