        I agree.

I'd just like some of those posters that were so quick to condemn other fighters for not having a fight they wanted to see come in here and explains some of these names.

Names that probably could have got done yet didn't.

I'd like to see them apply the same standards they do to other fighters to Manny.

And this isn't even including the #1 contenders from each governing body, and the regional champions! You could be talking hundreds of ducks!

Can we call it a soft duck? Lol

So Manny is still TBE's number 1 biggest rival, eh? With seven loses, got put to sleep by a Mexican superstar, etc., somehow these fanatics still feel threatened their hero might still take second lead.

Dedicated boxing fans want the sport revived and wish everyone should raise his voice so it can have a better history. Like I don't see anyone from this same fanatical fanbase complain about Lara fighting Gausha, instead of Andrade, for example. Haymon fighters refusing to fight unless they get paid more than they deserve. Thurman, Garcia, Porter, Spence, Wilder, Stevenson, etc., not active enough.

So why not go proactive about the present times so the the ducking history you so revile and keep chanting won't be repeated?

choosing to fight canelo/cotto winner which the wbc promised him instead of ward is a duck? no. just because the wbc later changed their mind and let canelo have a freebie doesnt effect gggs decision to take the much bigger fight against a guy in his own weight division.

you seem to think that if anyone offers any other fighter a fight and they turn it down its a duck regardless of the details of the offer. that makes no sense. for example floyd offered manny the fight for a flat fee of 40 million and he turned it down. thats a soft duck? refusing offers that are terrible and make no sense is not ducking. whoever is making those terrible offers should be put under suspicion for not making realistic offers. if ward wanted to fight why not offer to fight right away since both guys were available and for a reasonable split since ggg was more popular? he didnt do either thing.

there are some fights that clearly should have been made and only floyd prevented them from happening. fights like marg, cotto, and pac. these fights were not only against top tier opponents but would have made him the most money. im not sure manny had those same conditions. floyd was a shot caller and had all the power to make them happen. pac did not have the power to simply make any fight he want.

when manny was champ at 112 and fighting in the philippines he ducked mark johnson? how does that work? there simply wasn't enough money to bring him over to the philippines given the purses johnson was used to getting. the onus was on johnson and american tv networks to make that fight if they wanted it but they didnt since pac was an unknown at the time so reasonably the fight never happened. these kind of dynamics matter when you look at why fights didnt happen. anyone can stare at boxrec and say look they didnt fight! but why didnt they fight is more important.

manny became a shot caller later in his career and fought almost all the best opponents from 122-130. he didnt get heavy hbo investment until he beat barrera. naming guys like chris john who was ranked #8 when pac was there and scott harrison is like naming steve forbes for floyd. not really big misses. only realistic top guy he missed was joan guzman and thats a shame. not sure it was a complete duck since the money for fighting bums like solis might have been higher(unlike floyd who took less money to fight worse opponents) but def should have happened. he didnt stay at 135 and fought the #3 guy in his only fight there. really reaching to call him a ducker there.

this guy has manny ducking freitas and casamayor...but they left 130 in 2004. manny didnt arrive till 2005 so it simply makes no sense. at least get your time lines right. and oh yes manny def ducked cassius baloyi!!!

You've just mentioned everyone at every weight on them dates. He couldn't have fought everyone. How has he ducked them? Honestly, you try too hard. That must have taken you ages and it means nothing. Thats time you could have spent going out and meeting women, maybe getting your dick wet.
