Is it a mismatch? We know Tommy's penchant for all-out early attack? Can Walker at 5'7" deal with that? Duran could not. Walker seems to have a little size on Duran, though. Walker's lefhook was sneaky and untelegraphed. Would he ever get a chance to land it effectively?

I think the styles and statures could result in a demolition job by Hearns. Walker would be extremely game, however. -
Walker would work the body and eventually get to Hearns' chin late.
Duran did get blitzed by Tommy but that wouldn't necessary work on the Toy Bulldog. He used to spar and fight against heavyweights.Comment

One way to look at the fight is to ask about Hagler compared to Walker....both pressure fighters, combo punchers and relentless when blood was smelled in the water and we know Hagler was a bit much for tommy when they fought.
Besides...I know hearns was from Detriot and all....but have any of youse guys seen Elizabeth New Jersey? it stinks for one thing and is about as violent a ****hole as one could find in this country. Walker had to come up tough to be from those parts.Comment
