What exactly can DAZN offer? Even if Wilder/Fury does between 300-500 buys that's 22.5-37.5 million in PPV revenue. Add in the gate revenue and international rights.

DAZN would need to sell 3-4 million subscriptions to even reach those numbers. Which means subscribers actually keeping the service and not cancelling after the fight. Just becasue they're paying Canelo 30+ million per fight does it mean they'll be paying other fighters the same. Can DAZN actually pay AJ and Wilder a total purse of over 80 million for both fighters without losing money? Canelo is getting his 30 million but I'm pretty sure Fielding is getting less than 5 million for the fight.

If you watch the video, Hearn goes through the numbers. 1m PPV generates about $80m which is about $40m for the fighters. DAZN will just pay $40m for the fight and so there is no PPV risk.

When there are two platforms that have deals with rival fighters they need to enter into an agreement that whoever is willing to pay the most for the fight gets to show the fight. Fighters need to be getting together with their rival even to make that sh^t a reality if they truly wanna know where they stand in this sport.

I tend to think there aren't a lot of mfers like that in the first place doe or guys are just happy getting $2M or $20M a fight & getting $5M or $50 for a fight for more risk might not add up all the way for them maybe.
