Funny thing is he would've beaten Pascal and that would've been HUGE in Canada. You'd have to assume there would've been at least two fights and he could've made good money. A potential fight between them now isn't as interesting since Pascal got beat badly twice by Kovalev.

That's not what happened. HBO was being cheap. Just as they're being cheap today with their boxing budget, they were cheap then. Stevenson was on board with fighting Kovalev and gave HBO a billion chances to match Showtime's offer in which HBO told Stevenson to go fcuk himself... Off he went to Showtime. End of story.
