  • Hearn said WBO won’t strip Ruiz

And that was only 10 days ago.

“The rematch takes precedence anyway over the belts,” Hearn said during a post-fight press conference early Sunday morning at Madison Square Garden. “But listen, the next mandatory [due] is the WBO. And I’ve already spoken to [WBO president] Paco Valcarcel, who would have no issues with the rematch anyway. We don’t want Andy Ruiz to lose [a belt]. Anthony don’t wanna lose one of these belts.“

If Hearn had any business sense he’d get the WBO mandatory called ASAP.
    Just think about it...

The WBO strip Ruiz. The AJ rematch is now for two instead of three belts. Who cares, the fight remains a interesting regardless.

The WBO would likely order Usyk-Whyte for the vacant title. This GUARANTEES Hearn a piece of the HW title even if AJ loses again.

It also gives Hearn another fight to put on UK PPV so he can suck more money out of the deluded casuals.

If AJ does lose to Ruiz, it prevents Haymon from having a HW title monopoly and also gives AJ an opportunity to regain a title, which could plausibly be a rematch with Whyte which would be a big deal over here.

The problem is: Does Hearn have any business sense?

if the WBO calls their fight it will be after Saturday. If/when that happens, Fury will be #1 in their rankings. And Usyk has to use his #1 contender card or he'll lose it. So the vacant title could be Fury/Whyte

If you have business sense just the way your mind is telling, why aren't you a promoter instead.

Usyk wouldn't fight for the vacant belt he is not ranked in top 5

mandatory is different from rankings for vacant belt

I didn’t have a multi-millionaire Dad who gave me a job as Managing Director in his already successful Promotional company.

“Masters”😂😂 Pipe down you little clown.

From what I understand, once Usyk officially moves up he will be installed as #1/mandatory therefore would fight for the WBO title if it became vacant.
BJS just done exactly this in his last fight.

I could see Bob/Frank manoeuvring Fury into #1. Based off the current rankings it would be Usyk and Whyte though.
