  • Eder Jofre - Greatest bantamweight ever?

Shame you don't really much about this guy even on boxing forums as he was a fcukin' beast! He should for me anyway be right up there with the top ATGs

You talk heart, skills, power, iron chin - Eder Jofre!

    72-2-4 (50 K.Os)

Whooped Legra, Saldivar, Caldwell, Caraballo, Aoki, etc etc

He fought 12 times in 9 months! won 10, 2 draws. Retired after two losses to Fighting Harada, came back after 3 years & whooped everyone at featherweight.

Probably belongs in the history section, my bad. Not sure how to move it?

Probably, was known as the batamweight SRR and is in mine ATG top ten list.

Have you noticed how nobody has really commented in this thread...shame.

I've always liked Eder Jofre. I'm a hardcore boxing fan though so I appreciate all weights in boxing.

If it was Floyd, Manny, Khan or someone there would be hundreds by now
The guy is criminally underrated. Its a shame such a brilliant fighter could be almost unheard of like that.

The way he slips those shots is a thing of beauty & almost a forgotten tool of today. More excitement in that short clip than in most 12 round title bouts of today. Truly a living legend that is still a fitness freak & regularly runs marathons & does exhibitions.

Jofre is sort of an enigma in that people either have him seriously underrated or seriously overrated. He's a hard guy to rank in terms of ATGs.

Had him winning both Harada bouts.

Everyone should have a little more Jofre in their lives.

                    I'd say so.

                    Jofre was a great fighter.

People tend to overrate him at times but he was a great fighter.

                    Arguably beat Harada both times.
