The Victorain age and the literature age of William Shakespear was so rich that people would express themselves through full ochestra music.The 80s was so rich that musicians like Wham,Duran Duran,Michael Jackson,Prince,Spandau Ballet,Queen,Cindy Lauper,Leo Sayer,Lionel Rithie etc would express themselves through well crafted studio material that was typical of having it all.In the 90s a new breed of people who only expressed themselves through a drum beat and a vocal like a talking voice emerged on the scene.If their music was something more than a drum and a voice,it was a sample of past songs or just an extended effort.These people were poor and this was the best way they knew of music expression.Here now is the irony.2 Pac Shakur,Biggie Smalls,Nas etc became the new rock and pop stars selling a million plus records within a week of release.The world was now amazed by poor people expressions.Hip Hop is an expression of a balancing act.We all get our turn and time in life.Time and chance happens to all.If only the hip hop people could express themselves in a way that is more clean and elaborate.Maybe things should be said as they are but choose the language content more carefully.
