All's I remember last time was being ill and they said it was a bad reaction to the local anesthetic.

I have to have my heart stopped and restarted again tomorrow,
Cause it is out of rhythm I only found out recently.

Then later that day they are gonna do the op on my ankle
I worked in the OR for almost 15 years ... and there are several methods of anesthesia, depending on your illness and the Dr. recommendations.

Local Anesthetic - {Lidocaine} injected directly into the surrounding area.
Spinal - {Nerve Block} injected into the nerve branch leading to the affected area
    General - {The Mask} Michael Jackson style .....

To answer your question, it is rare for one to get sick from a local injection of lidocaine - BUT for what you've described {That is not a local anesthetic procedure} Some form of mild general anesthetic will have to be used possibly with a spinal block.

And stopping and restarting a heart is NOT normally the solution to an irregular heartbeat ..... Normally a pacemaker is required to help regulate the pumping action of the heart Or a regime of pharmaceuticals.

But I've never heard of stopping and restarting the heart to solve the problem associated with arrhythmia's. And you also did not mention a critical element "A CARDIOLOGIST". Which would be required for any medical procedure involved with the heart.

Would like to hear more accurate symptoms and the associated diagnosis.

Are you stating that a Doctor, that is NOT a Cardiologist is going to stop and restart your heart - Using only a local anesthetic!!!!!!!!!!

Dude, that's wrong on soo many levels .... do you live in Palestine, or the deep Sudan ...... Where is this hospital??

All bull**** aside, good luck, man. As for your question, can't help you. I was in a pretty bad car accident awhile back, and pain killer's just about left me a useless mess. Once again, good luck.

When general anesthesia is used on SMOKERS, it is often difficult to complete the cycle, because of compromised respiratory activity.

Even if you didn't admit to being a smoker ... the anesthetist or anesthesiologist can tell.

Last time I had an op on my ribs and bone marrow they put me out with a local, I was ****ed for days,
                    Vomiting violently.

They doing it again tomorrow even though it ****ed me up bad last time,
Pretty serious op im not worried about that,
its the anesthetic I'm worried about.

                    Anyone experienced this?
I once had some extremely nasty spasms the next day after getting a novacaine shot at dentist's office for wisdom teeth removal. So, yes. it is very possible.
