This song definitely shows how the sound of hip-hop has changed since the early 2000s and the 90s, lol.

Sometimes I feel like DJ Mustard flipped hyphy beats into a more fine tuned SoCal stuff but I've always thought he had hyphy influences in his beats although I don't listen to anything he produces. Don't like Y.G.

This beat on this Staples song has a beat that reminds of me of that hyphy/Bay Area sound.
