  • Robeisi Ramirez and Top Rank Nearing a Multi-Fight Deal

Yes!!! Hell of a fighter that looks to finally be hitting the pro scene. He should be moved fast and possibly get a shot sometime in late 2020.

Conlan is pretty trash and irrelevant. He needs to show something before this potential match up even matters.

Better yet, we may get Inoue vs Ramirez!

Nice! Happy we're going to see Ramirez as a PRO! One of the most gifted Amateur Boxers I've ever seen

Let me bump this thread since it seems like many may have missed it from yesterday.

But this guy in the 2016 Olympics was competing in a weight class bigger than his natural weight. He can be fighting easily at 118, unless he has just out grown it in the last few years. What I'm saying is the eventual "great" match up we may see could be between Ramirez and Inoue. Now that could be something special!

Shakur beats this dude in the pros. Ramriez won fair and square in the Olympics but he was much older and more experience then Shakur and amateur judging is totally different then in the pro game. Most of these countries sending grown azzz men who are competing in multiple Olympic cycles US sending a lot of teenagers and kids who are one and done in the Olympics. Shakur defense and clean punching translates more in the pro game then Ramirez who basically just volume punched with putty pay punches for 4 rounds to get the W over a teenager Shakur.

Ramirez has Olympic wins over Shakur 2016 and Michael Conlan in 2012 they all signed with top rank now so we should get some rematches in the pros

Ramirez was also a weight class smaller than Shakur. That's why I don't think that is the big match up for him. Ramirez is just THAT dude that he was able to beat fighters much bigger than him. Shakur will be at 130 in no time, and Ramirez will likely never be at 130. I hope he tries his hand first at 118. If not, then still some good fights for him at 122.
