fact is, Messi only scores when Barca dominate. In games Barca struggle, Messi is nowhere to be found. He is the Berbatov of La Liga, only difference is Barca dominate every single game they play in La Liga(16 wins in a row wtff) therefore he scores in every game.Comment

There was a time when I thought Messi was clearly better, but I don't think that anymore. Messi needs Xavi and Inesita to score goals without them he is just a good player. He needs Barcelona to dominate for him to perform. He was non-existent against Inter Milan and Chelsea, while Ronaldo scored against Chelsea in the UCL Final.
Ronaldo only has Ozil yet has kept up a great goal scoring record and he can win you games in a second, while Messi needs numerous attacks with his trio to make something happen. Ronaldo is a proven match winner,

Messi never performs when his team needs him the most.
When his team are struggeling he becomes a spectator. That is what sets him aside from players like Ronaldinho, who completely dominated Chelsea on his own, something Messi has never even been close to doing, he has played like 6 games against Chelsea and never scored

As said already, proof of his greatness is his goal scoring record compared to Villa's in the same system. Villa is a great striker but he's being out gunned by a winger/striker in Messi.Comment

think about what you are saying here man...messi is the best player on like you said "the most dominant team in history", of course he will go on droughts sometimes and will struggle to score but everybody does but scoring 40 goals in 33 games with 18 assists that is ****ing ridiculous, LOL @ messi not scoring when his team needs him to, how many game tying or game winning goals has he had in the past 2 years like 12-15
