Yeah, he's not very good. He also seems to load up hard on his punches, but just can't hurt his opponents. I expect him to get/lose decisions for the rest of his short career. He has not adjusted his style as someone who can't punch would do, he's an in your face fighter, blocks with his face, without having much power to sustain that style for a long career. He should be boxing, not trying to be Arturo Gatti.

He was beat up and had serious hand issues; you add that he'd been able to put away a bit of money, and he felt confident in his position to take some extended time off, resting his hands and body.

Figueroa Jr is only 27 years old, and is still undefeated.

According to BoxingScene, Figueroa Jr has been back in the gym since January, so he's getting back fighting fit, and is simply waiting on a Texas date to open up for him.
