  • Ricky Hatton is cured and finishes rehab, buys fiancee a dog

SHAMED boxer Ricky Hatton is trying to get out of the doghouse with his fiancée - by buying her a puppy.

Ricky, who finished a spell in a rehab clinic earlier this week, popped to a pet shop to pick up a tiny chihuahua as a gift for Jennifer Dooley.

The 32-year-old former world champ from Hyde, Gtr Manchester, checked into The Priory following claims he snorted cocaine in a hotel room.

He admitted he was battling depression and drink after two high-profile defeats in the ring.

But he seemed happier, refreshed and about a stone lighter as he and Jennifer, 31, visited Dogs 4 Us in Swinton.

Store manager Chris Hunter, 42, said: "At first they were looking at a shih tzu but then they saw the chihuahua and went for that. They both seemed really happy."
