Floyd 'Money-Cake' Mayweather, Jr Not a Cakewalk for Pound-for-Pound King Manny Pacquiao?

[QUOTE]Casual talk from HOLLYWOOD, California - When the super ring intelligent Floyd "Money-Cake" Mayweather, Jr., plotting the potential downfall of Pound-for-Pound king Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao, summoned
his cohorts during his 34th birth anniversary last February 24, he announced that a "day of rest" for his formidable nemesis is coming. Does this mean that Sugar Shane Mosley will defeat Pacquiao on May 7 at the jam-packed MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada?

Money-Cake (MC) wants to personally take down the glory of Pacquiao regardless of the outcome of the Mosley-Pacquiao event.

One thing, though, the only factor that could probably defeat MC is his own fear: Fear of getting knocked out handy by fast-moving, brilliant Pacman. Fear could somehow freeze his "grandmaster-like thinking", in which his brain may not empower his flexes to cope up with a high intensity conflict. Yes, that must be a self-ascribed irrational fear that haunts him wherever he goes.

But, MC's fading confidence in himself may affect his stature as a technically better fighter than Pacman. He has a great ability to potentially lessen the advances of Pacman. His effective-counter punching ability can deflect the Filipino's careless advances. He surely knows that Pacman's rhythm gets cut off if the opponent, such as Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico, strikes with effective counter hooks and crosses. Marquez really gave Pacman the toughest test of all his fights, even too close to call a widely acceptable win. Pacman's victory over Marquez can only be distinguished by the knockdowns - the lone setbacks that defeated the tough blood of the Aztecs.

In 2009, MC comfortably won over Marquez via a wide-marginal unanimous decision. He also won a much more loop-sided decision over Mosley, despite the latter almost dropped him in the third round.

Sure, it looks like MC, at his time, is mapping out a carefully crafted game plan. He knows he can bring a lot of trouble for Pacman in the ring. As one of the boxing fans says, "Money-Cake is not a cakewalk for Manny Pacquiao (Pacman)."

Now, if it happens that Pacman is not able to dismantle Mosley via knockout and if he foresees that the prospect of his win is wide of a margin in the scorecards, then he might agree to fight the pound-for-pound best even without narrowing too much the random drug testing issue.

But, can it be less stiffer than what he originally demanded from Pacquiao?

In May of last year, Pacman and MC had mutually agreed to the 14-day window during the talks. But MC had changed his mind and said he wants the tests done all the way up to the day of the fight. Then, their negotiations ceased.

MC is not a "cakewalk" in almost everything that he wants to accomplish, even to the point of spoiling himself before the public. He portrays himself as the "immaculate one", tarnishing Pacman with all his accusations of potential use of performance enhancing drugs. Unfortunately, he has failed not just once but more than twice enough to boomerang to his shoulder with some nasty lawsuits from Pacquiao's camp.

So, what is really due for Money-Cake after all these days?

But, can the "drug testing issue" be a "money-cake" for these two great fighters to meet compromises?

MC, an effective counter-puncher that he is, might just deliver the greatest counter punch against the opposing media - to make the highly anticipated match to happen this year.QUOTE]
