  • Comments Thread For: Terence Crawford Could Fight Granados Next Instead of Felix Diaz

Adrian Granados didn't do enough to beat Adrien Broner on Saturday night, but he might've performed impressively enough to land another high-profile fight. BoxingScene.com has learned Bob Arum's Top Rank Inc. is exploring a Terence Crawford-Granados fight for the spring because negotiations for a Crawford-Felix Diaz fight haven't resulted in a deal. Crawford (30-0, 21 KOs), the WBC/WBO super lightweight champion, is expected to return to the ring May 20, but that HBO date hasn't been finalized and could change to sometime in June.

Fight a guy who just took an L instead? I don't agree with that decision but that's dumb.

Utter nonsense. Diaz is the better fight out of all of them and poses a very unique challenge for Crawford.

So he's gonna fight another one of Broner's leftovers? Not suprising.

Diaz asking for too much money or something?

Oh well give Granados his shot. He got dicked around with the Broner situation. Would love to see him get a fair chance.

Bud's career has stalled enough. Granados is a tough dude -- and he deserves a payday as he fought on even terms with Broner

But this fight would be nothing, pointless. Slightly better than Molina.

            Do the Diaz fight

I guess Diaz is pricing himself out. I don't mind Granados as a backup plan, but I much rather see Diaz.

Anybody know why he didn't go after Indongo before Ricky Burns? That guy had to come cheap. If he's supposedly sticking at 140 to unify he's not even taking the steps towards unifying.

Before the Molina fight his manager/trainer said they picked Molina because he came cheap. Diaz is asking the same as Molina so that's cheap according to them.

At least Molina was coming off a win against Provodnikov. Granandos is coming off a loss. No matter what you thought of the decision this is not a good look for Crawford.

If Crawford doesn't start attempting to unify imma start to believe he's hiding at 140 to avoid the fighters at 147. The division is already weak. Unification is the only reason for him to stick around there. Sticking around to fight Molina and Granados is a waste of his time.

I think that he was hoping to get Pac at 140 but it looks like that won't happen. Then there's the potential for the Garcia fight. If he can't get no action then he should move up.
