Those are all heavily capitalist countries which all have a social component mainly in regards to healthcare and education.

Here is what the Danish Prime Minister has to say to people like you,

"I know that some people in the US associate the Nordic model with some sort of socialism. Therefore I would like to make one thing clear. Denmark is far from a socialist planned economy. Denmark is a market economy,” Rasmussen said.

This is also the corporate tax rates of your so called socialist paradises
    '
Denmark's corporate income tax rate is 24.5 percent, Norway's general corporate income tax rate is 27 percent, and Sweden has a corporate tax rate of 22 percent. The U.S. marginal tax rate on corporations is much higher at 39.1 percent (average of federal and state')

Thankfully Trump changed the USA corporate tax rate to you know, be more in line with those socialist European countries.

FDR's policies extended the Great Depression by seven years.

They're a mix of both, with a much stronger social component and higher standard of living compared to US. Whatever they have is better than the US.

              Until Reagan.

Until then a middle class family could own a home, have a yearly vacation, own a pet etc on a single wage.

Now the average wage in the US is 51k, which even with the bare minimums cannot make ends meet.
Yes because the epic production machine we built during the war and women entering the workforce in droves had nothing to do with it.

Anyone making 51k a year and are unable to make ends meet need a lesson in money management. Hell anyone making 30k+ a year will have no problem making ends meet assuming you spend like you make 30k a year.

What Sweden and basically all the Nordic countries have is they are rich in resources in relatively small countries with largely ****geneous cultures. Comparing us to them is on par with comparing Vermont to Texas. Its not even the same thing.

Whatever they have? The prime minister told you exactly what they have, they have a heavily capitalist free market society with a big social safety net.

Saying its better than the USA is subjective in the sense that if you want to pay taxes out the as$ for some basic assurances then yeah. It's certainly not better than the USA when it comes to cost of goods from a car, gas, electronics, all the way down to a carton of eggs, nor is it better when discussing the home and rent prices, as well as the populations disposable income.
