  • Fighters that moved down in weight and won world titles?

How many champions have moved down in weight to win a world title?

Having a hard time finding info. I think it's like 3 or 5 at most. Any clues people?

I'd be curious as well. It's usually a really bad idea, since most boxers that fight at a certain weight class are extremely lean and in shape at said weight, and going below that implies they'd have to lose muscle mass...

Now of course, if you're a fat ass why not?

Didn't Shawn Porter have his first 12 fights or so at 160 and 154 then won his first title at 147 later on?

After winning world titles at 154, Mayweather later won world titles at 147.

After winning a world title at 154, Pacquiao later won world titles at 147.

After winning world titles at 154, Mosley later won an interim world title at 147.

After winning world titles at 147, Judah later won a world title at 140.

After winning a world title at 175, Hearns later won a world title at 168.

After winning a world title at 154, Leonard later won a world title at 147.

After winning a world title at heavyweight, Jones later won world titles at 175.

I'm sure there are countless other examples, this is just off the top of my head.

Which fight is that? I don't see it on his record. No catch-weights please.
