He didn't hit Canelo with the same punch he hit Rubio with. Canelo's defense and head movement were first rate and GGG was unable to hit him with a flush bomb like the one he hit Rubio with. Canelo felt enough of GGG's punching power to retreat most of the fight. GGG was able to walk through Canelo's best punches with no problem so give him credit for a great chin also.
