Idiots think that if they raise minimum wage, that nothing else will proportionately increase.

Raising the minimum wage is simply inflating value. Its the same as what the government itself does. And it is inherently difficult to tell what the exact effects are. Companies dont just go out of business all at once, but when they hit hard times financially (which will be different times for different businesses) the higher wage becomes the deathstroke for them. So advocates of these policies get to ignore the effect and pretend that the most basic laws of economics magically dont apply in this case, merely because they dont want them to. If you raise the price of something you will create less demand for it.
