  • Floyd Mayweather spoils Pac/Thurman outcome, clearly tells you why Thurman wins

"Manny Pacquiao likes to trap his opponent against the ropes and throw a lot of punches."

Now, I'm making the assumption that you're all smart people. Outside of Shawn Porter, who has successfully done this against Keef? And even he didn't win.

And you know it's true too. Manny himself said he doesn't like guys that "move outside".

I recall Freddie Roach saying that he was sometimes annoyed at Pacquiao’s tendency to follow people around the ring rather than cut it off. Interesting, perhaps one of Pacquiao’s very few weaknesses.

Can we just enjoy the fight when it happens rather than conspiracy threads. Thanks

        There's no conspiracy.

What I do see is a crap ton of illogical threads about Manny being somehow able to do something that Porter and Garcia failed to do, based on a piss poor Broner performance.

Manny is not good at cutting the ring, that's true.

          But...

Thurman is not as good defensively as Floyd etc either.

Floyds 'predictions ' are always 1) If a guy is black and the other guy not = black guy wins. 2) Anyone fighting Manny beats Manny. 3) A 'slick boxer always beats a Mexican style 4) An American always beats a Latin / European / etc. 5) A hungry young lion beats a wiley old fox.

Manny at this point only fights in spots. Just watch his fight against Broner. Thurman has the advantage being that he will be the more active fighter. Thurman threw 899 punches in his last fight while Pacquiao only threw 568.

The opponent against the ropes is just a by-product of the opponent backing out and inability to stand his ground in the middle of the ring.
Why was the opponent on the ropes in the first place?

Which is another point and another key reason he lost so wide to Floyd.

Manny is not, nor has he ever been, a body puncher first and foremost. He's a head hunter.

Porter went close because he went to the body.
