  • THROWBACK: Tony Halme, who performed in WWE as Ludvig Borga, beat Iran Barkley.

Only footage that could be located:

Halme was a brawler in the finest sense of the word. He would just go out there throwing for the fences and in half his total fights, got a knockout. He would proceed to lose almost the other half as a result. It was rolling dice every time a fight with him was announced.

Reports from Halme vs. Barkley were that Halme was fighting his usual style, dirty and rough, but was getting tagged when he gassed. Barkley was overwhelmed the majority of the fight, but failed to convince two judges that he did enough. Halme's aggression and pressure won two of them over.

He fought on the undercard of a 2001 PPV that was headlined by near-prime stars Mikkel Kessler and Joe Calzaghe, fringe contender powerhouse Thomas Damgaard, declining Mike Tyson, and rugged (at the time) Carlos Baldomir.

Halme was most notable for being the only known athlete to compete professionally in WWE, UFC and boxing, which may still be true to this day. If you know of another one name them.

Halme was an odd one in many ways. He was a very powerful man physically but not very skilled boxer, did some music, had a fight in early UFC against future champion in Randy Couture, did pro wrestling, was a member of parliament and committed suicide by shooting in 2010
