Why are sexual fantasies/fetishes so taboo?

I think it's unhealthy for people to have to hide their sexual fantasies and even be embarrassed about them.

All humans have them. It's part of being human. If you seriously don't have any sexual fantasies/fetishes, then you're a damaged human.
