I haven't seen many but my favorites are Full Metal Jacket and Platoon. I'm not really a fan of war movies, or action movies.

Platoon was probably one of the first war movies I've seen and IMO a great movie at that time.

these are just personal favorites, I can't say that I've seen enough to definitely say which are the GOAT.

The Last Samurai (might actually be my all time favorite movie, regardless of genre TBH), We Were Soldiers, Flags of our Fathers, Black Hawk Down, Rescue Dawn (though I'm partial to Christian Bale so my man crush might be influencing the inclusion of this particular film lol), Letters from Iwo Jima.

I still need to watch Saving Private Ryan, I've heard great things about it.
