  • I enjoyed Rigondeaux skills and performance.

Many people hated it, I was seated next to people who were complaining how he kept on running and moving and was making the fight boring but I had to disagree.

Guillermo rigondeaux did his thing. He was precise, he was strong and showcased some amazing skills.

Anytime nonito would land anything significant, rigo would counter his azz HARD. I thought rigo was going to finish donaire in the 12th seeming as nonito was hurt and it seemed to me like he was looking for a way out or help from the ref. Nevertheless, this is boxing and no fighter should get special privileges just because his eye hurts.

Nonito is a bad loser, he said he did enough to win or deserved at least a draw. Nonito, I don't believe you did enough to win more than 2 rounds.

        Me too.

The only kind of style I hate and find boring in boxing is excessive hugging.

There is no question Rigondeaux has impressive skills and walked the fight and closed out the win. I would have liked Rigondeaux to stepped up the pace at some point and finished Donaire off which he was more than capable of doing but like a lot of great boxers he is risk adverse and settled for a comfortable risk free win.

I also enjoyed watching him fight. He does not excessively hold like Carlos Molina, Hopkins or Richard Abril. I love an all out war but also appreciate great skills without the holding.

No me gusto tanto la forma de pelea de rigo, but oh well props to him.
