dont know why people use this excuse when its his choice to fight there, not like it was a money fight and he moved down, hell he even looks drained at 147 lol

Lol @ at the weight drain excuse still flying around.

Isn't it obvious by now? Was he drained vs Alvarado too or Pacquiao?

Y'all need to start paying attention when you watch these fights.

I agree, it was his own fault trying to make 135 when it was obvious he couldn't do it anymore. He even admitted this.

Its not an excuse. He clearly had next to no power or energy for most of the fight. Its his own fault, he should have moved up in weight already.

The Alvarado rematch he tried to blame on "weight lifting" which is pathetic, he got outboxed. Against Pac he was outclassed. He shouldn't even have been in the ring with Pac and the fight should have been stopped.

Rios is a very limited fighter who more or less is screwed if his opponent doesn't fold under his pressure and can avoid his punches. However, Abril did not look impressive, and I think Rios' horrible performance was attributed to him being weight-drained.

Such thorough and detailed analysis there.

As someone else noted, Abril didn't use much lateral movement against Rios. He was stationary for the most part but generally controlled distance well and peppered him from the outside. And even when Rios was on the inside, he couldn't do anything effective due to the fact that Abril either held him or legally smothered his work.
