  • Comments Thread For: Mikey Garcia: I'd Rather Fight Errol Spence Than Lomachenko

Three division world champion Mikey Garcia (37-0, 30 KOs) says the welterweight division is certainly in his future. Garcia back on March 10th, when he goes for his fourth divisional title in a showdown with undefeated junior welterweight champion Sergey Lipinets. Provided he wins, one fight that Garcia wants to do before heading up in weight is a unification with WBA lightweight champion Jorge Linares.

You're not fighting either guy Mikey so stop talking out your neck. This dude always name dropping but has yet to be in a 50-50 fight his entire career, let alone any fight where he'd be the underdog.

Mikey is being a diva. Name drops a lot of fighters and ask them to do this and that, but when said fighter is gonna do what asks (Easter) he turns around 180 and goes for an another route.

          B1tch made.

Saw Mikey next to Thurman and he looks too small to be fighting against these full fledged welterweights. This Spence name drop doesn't seem genuine whatsoever. I'm a fan of Garcia but he knows he's not trying to fight Spence anytime soon, no one is. He's name dropped Linares, Cotto, Loma, Crawford, and now Spence. I'm sure he's down but for him to go up to Spence Jr knowing he's nowhere near 147 right now is just a little bit excessive. I'd say focus on Lipinets and then going up against Linares which seems to be the best fight for him at the moment. If he grows into a full fledged 140 pounder within the year then he can see about entering a stacked welterweight division. Mikey is talented, but there's also the realities of bigger, stronger fighters as you go up.

So we're supposed to criticize him because he's really good?

What if he was the greatest fighter that ever lived and nobody would be a 50-50 fight? We're suppose to trash him for that?

Such a strange way of thinking.

The dude, right away, after a long layoff, went after the undefeated WBC lightweight world champion that Linares was ducking and quickly knocked him out.

He then moved up to 140 to hand Broner his only loss in his best weight class. Now he's fighting for a world title at 140 and wants to fight for a world title at 147.

The dude used to fight at FEATHERWEIGHT!!! You should be praising him for having the balls to keep moving up in weight and instead you're ****ting on him because he's good and nobody at his weight would be 50-50 against him?!?

Spence will knock out Garcia if he dares.
He is too small and lacks the power to hurt Spence.
Even Mikey power at 140 was questionable when he fought Broner.

Mikey pretending to be smart, baiting Loma & Arum. Notice he mentioned Thurman & Spence but didnt mention Crawford which exposed Mikey’s intentions. Wink, wink.
