Another catch weight fight. Gotta start putting asterisk next to these fighters for these catchweight fights.

Porter is coming in as a Zombie against Broner. Guys can get seriously hurt with that crap but at the same time Porter should be fighting at 154

Just been updated, according to 78SPORTSTV the rehydration clause will be 10 lbs maximum from the agreed upon weight. So 154 lbs instead of 155.

What's more ridiculous is that after Broner lost to Maidana and ever since he's fought the Molina brothers and ESPN star Taylor instead of fighting anybody with power and skill.

Now he wants to play the catchweight game because he's fighting a actual threat FOH

PBC is nothing but a league to protect Haymon's investments by making up the rules to help their fighters.

This the first time I heard of a rehydration clause in a contract since Ray Leonard fought Donny Lalonde.

Porter coming into this one a dead man walking. Not only is he a natural SWW at this point coming all the way down to 144 lbs, but he's also agreed to a maximum of 155 lbs rehydration clause. Broner will win regardless, but it's not a good look. You can't let yourself get tossed around like that in regards to contracts. Porter already lost the mental battle.

Broner has a very smart team.
Porter can't pass on this opportunity. You don't get many chances like this. Network TV, MGM, against a big name opponent.

Get a nutritionist, suck it up and come ready to fight.

It's fucked up. Catchweights can be useful for making a highly desirable match-up happen, but they're a scourge when they're abused like this.

But Porter has no choice. He has to take the fight.
