According to Flo Combat, the Endeavor-owned fight promotion will indeed do away with the weight class altogether and will only keep a few select fighters, forcing them to move up to Bantamweight. The rest of the field will be handed their pink slips, such as Jose Torres, who took to social media to announce the news.

No surprise, but it looks like its going down now with them being out of the 125lb game by the end of the year.

Sucks, but thems the breaks. They're in the entertainment biz and have always run a loosely structured sport. I don't see why they should keep a division that garners little interest.

Hope the fighters can find an org with better support for the lower classes.
