I'm from Montreal, which means a Quebecer, and I despise Stevenson as do most of the people I know. I don't see how any civilized person can have any respect for the man after what he has done in his life. It would be one thing if he had ever offered an apology for his actions, but he never has and always tries to pass them off as the errors of his youth. I think he is scum and cannot wait to see Kovalev erase him from the sport.

Boxers in Canada identify themselves with their ethnic origins. Bute is claimed by Rumanians, Pascal by Haitians, etc. I mostly root for the underdog, thus I wanted Pascal to do well in the Kovalev fight, but, as usual, the Russian's size advantage, reach and power are always used to the max. Same thing will happen with Stevenson. But I'll root for Stevenson, nonetheless, because he's the underdog.
