Holyfield got into a war with a 42 year old Foreman when he was barely 5 years pro, that is not past prime Evander. Early in his career he struggled with 5'5 Qawi, then an obese old Foreman, and then lost to John Ruiz in '01 but you think he can clean out this era's super heavies smdh. Like I said, Holyfield had a terrible defense and gets praised for it. Same with Foreman, you cannot take punches on your forehead in this era and be successful, you'll get your head knocked off.

Even Ali got dropped by a blown up LHW in Henry Cooper, by today's standards that gets you laughed out the sport. This ain't the 00's era where guys like James Toney were capable of beating top 3 contenders, this is an era where you have numerous 6'4+ 240lb guys with legit knock out power filling the rankings.

Foreman was flat out physically more gifted than over 90% of his opponents and had that advantage over small heavies in the 90's especially in the 70's, you don't see 208lb heavies like Holyfield anymore or 5'5 heavies like Qawi anymore it is not possible in this current era. Foreman's defense was to block punches with his head, you cannot do that in this era where super heavies can punch through your guard or piece you up with jabs.

He was getting pieced up by this dude, he was powerful but very slow and had a terrible defense, his physical gifts got him very far. Foreman was one of the first quality super heavies, now they're littered in the division, it's not special anymore, you don't have a physical advantage at 6'4 240lbs fighters once did in this division. Just look at how many times he gets clean, how many times Foreman has to push his opponent off him, that won't work against a massive guy.
