Wrong. That money is not going to directly to middle class American people, it is going to fund institutions like healthcare, education, green energy and stabilizing the economy for the good of every American.
You make it seem like the government is cutting checks for middle america with the top 2%'s money when it is simply not the case.

At this point it seems like a desperate attempt and it might have worked four years ago, but basically the Bush Administration bankrupted the GOP on their ideas and now these kinds of attacks are what they are relegated to.
That adds up to quite a few million people.

Easy, that is EXACTLY THE CASE. His 95 percent doesn't add up. The 40 percent of people who don't pay income tax will get a tax credit. As in earned income credit. These people will get an additional refund. Even though they don't pay income taxes. Granted the earned income credit has been around for awhile. But Obama will increase the welafare dole out through increasing the earned income credit.

This is what he told Joe the plumber: "I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."

The top 1% already pay the same as the bottom 90% in this country, but Obama thinks they should pay much more. And that money should be used to send a check to the 40% of tax filers that don't pay any income tax at all. We all know that all politicians are full of sht, that Obama will raise taxes on people making far less than 250K, but he has already given us an idea of what he intends to do. As this interview confirms.

I'm sorry... can you say that again?

I think it's funny how it's ok for the rich to get tax cuts all the time to the republicans but you try and give the middle class some tax cuts and all the sudden it's "socialism"
sure the rich pay more money in taxes.. they have more money but the middle class pays a higher percentage of their salary in taxes.

btw couldn't raising taxes on the middle class to give tax breaks to the wealthiest be considered socialism as well by your standards?

I can guarantee that in 2010, when the Bush tax cuts expire. Obama will not renew them. Which will be a tax increase for the middle class.

Of course the US has a big population and quite a few million people will vote this year. We'll find out next tuesday whether the American people really fell for that or not.
