Naseem Hamed's loss to Barrera and Tyson's loss to Douglas. The aura of invincibility was destroyed and they were never the same. That's why I think a loss in a boxer's early career is beneficial. Loma lost to Salido, this'll help and increase his longevity if he losses again because he's learned how to mentally overcome a loss and bounce back. You loss your first fight in your 35th fight...it ****s you up.

Yeah, sure. The fight may not have been the best ever but everyone remembers it for one reason or another. Unfortunately, too many manny fans haven't handled it like mature adults.

Actually its the floyd fans pretending that loss was anything significant in manny's career consdering he was 5 years passed his prime at 36. A lot of Manny pacquiao fans actually picked floyd to win in a boring decision because they know the manny of 2008-2010 is the thing of the past but hoped would win the fight. Its floyd groupies that would act that he just beat a guy that recently destroyed miguel cotto.

Mayweather-Pacquiao.....so many lives were destroyed on that day. Manny looked like someone killed is dog in the press conference. Floyd pretty much took the souls of every Pacquiao fan Shang Tsung style....they'll deny it, make excuses(fake injury, iv, manny wasn't allowed to shoot up before the fight), create edited versions of the fight on YouTube, etc......anything to ease the pain. It's quite hilarious watching them scamble and make excuses.... Floyd is the greatest fighter of the last era, they need to just deal with it.

Come on dude. That was the biggest earning fight in history. Its a fight Manny turned down numerous times until he could make $100 mil. It was the highest selling PPV in history and Manny's best opponent he ever fought (floyd as well). Please don't try and downplay it just because Manny lost.

I get that Manny wasn't at his peak. But he turned the fight down in 09 and he was still a top p4p boxer when he lost. he was still good enough to beat Bradley comfortably afterward. You and others still have him as the best WW in the world now.

Stop over exaggerating. That is another sign that the loss was so devastating.

Yes, some Floyd fans do rub some Manny fans face in the loss and you should expect that given how big the fight was and all the back and forth before that.

We can agree the fight will not resonate historically like Ali/Frazier 1 or Leonard/Duran 1.
