Domestic american is crap, compared to other beers. That doesnt mean its not drinkable, its just a bland compared to finer craft beers. And it does go good with food (instead of water), and im being serious.

Microbrews are the way to go. Youd be suprised how good local beer is.

So far I think Spaten is my favorite beer. I'm yet to have one I didn't like. Spaten Dunkel, Optimator, lager and I think their Oktoberfest is probably the best beer I have ever had. Too bad the Oktoberfest only comes round once a year.

American craft beers are very good. The mass-produced stuff is not. Unfortunately the mass produced crap is what we are known for around the world.
