Hard to create new stars without them beating old stars. Kovalev shut out Bernard Hopkins to unify three world championships. There's nobody really for Beterbiev to beat that would give him that kind of rub.

True. Then unification is a must for him to at least cement himself as the #1 guy in that division.

Kovalev was never really a draw either. He couldn't even sell out small arenas.

Shakur Stevenson - Arguably the best young fighter in boxing
          Teofimo Lopez
          Naoye Inoue
          Edgar Berlanga
          Joshua Greer Jr
          Xander Zayas
          Gabriel Flores Jr
          Joseph Adorno
          Jared Anderson
Keyshawn Johnson (pretty much a given that he's signing with Top Rank after the Olympics in Japan..he might come back with a GOLD medal)

          I'm probably missing a few.
Sonny Conto, Guido Vianello, Janibek Alimkhanuly, Paddy Donovan, Jeremy Adorno.

He was well known enough in the end to collect that bumper DAZN cheque. But I agree though, his profile could have been even higher, poor promotion by Duva and Top Rank meant that he missed out on some really big money.
