    Ortiz just came off beating Berto, and Gurrero was a top 10 P4P fighter and a 3 weight champion, and everything went downhill for those guys after Floyd, so he basically ruined them, are you forgeting Floyd's opponents??

      I thought they were friends. He kept trying to fight berto and berto kept losing. I think his final fight was him throwing berto a check. He knew there was zero demand for that fight and it wouldnt sell PPV's but he didnt care after the $200 million from pacquaio and had one fight left on his contract. I think he was intending to fight again, maybe a pacquaio rematch, with him being out of a contract and able to pit HBO vs Showtime against each other in a bidding war but it never happened.

        Guerrero had been on floyds list for a while. He was mentioned back when guerrero was at 135 and they waited until he had a big win at 147. Not sure what floyd saw in him but maybe he thought ruben would be good for the promotion part of the fight.
