Because Crawford is with Top Rank. Top Rank doesn't allow their stars to fight outside their stable in 50/50 fights or fights where they wouldn't be heavy favorites.

He fought Berto, instead of Thurman doe. Lara called him out and TBE just said Nah. These are Haymon fighters doe.
It was his retirement fight and he wanted a less grueling fight to retire on...He had fought nothing but champs and p4p fighters back to back to back..so he gets a pass

Maidana and Pacquiao were p4p fighters back to back? Or GUerrero? May be Ortiz? Or Alvarez who at the time had one noticeable win?
Pacquiao was the first legitimate p4p fighter he faced since Marquez and Mosley in 2009/10.
If any of the other fighters received p4p rankings, they are about as legitimate as Broner getting a place lol
I understand you're a massive Mayweather fan but the guy made a career out of avoiding top fighters. That video you posted a while back ( I didn't wan to respond to you because it's embarrassing for all involved when you use that video to refute May's ducking lol) even has him stating that Haymon and Ellerbe have done a great job in guiding his career and this too in response to a question about why he wouldn't fight certain fighters.
May has admitted it a million other times anyway.
So why do you think he would have faced a prime Crawford if he was active today?
