      I dont think so.
      Really?

Wlad hadn't fought in well over a year in a fight where he got outboxed and showed his gun shy age....

hell even bryant jennings gave wlad a run for his money in 2015 ffs

but im supposed to be impressed by aj beating an even older wlad?

Fighter of the year belongs to Rungvisai. Basically, he did was Ward did to Kovalev, but to a better fighter and in more impressive fashion, all the while being an underdog.

Wlad looked the best he had done in years and put on a show against a prime, hard hitting contender who became the only true champion in the division.

Jennings lost almost every round and only blind, americans believe he was competitive. And I like Jennings but the HBo hype post fight was in the hopes of marketing him as a top fighter...didnt work out well, just like with Jacobs.

I can't argue with what Rung did, its not just that he won but he completely took a top p4p guy out and dismantled him.

or is it that AJ isnt that good as advertised?

again wlad was in a war with bryant freakin jennings...

then he was outboxed by fury and was out for more than a year!

how is that the "best" hes looked in years?

mediocracy is a good thing now?

The Jennings fight wasnt even close to being a war, you're ******ed.

Wlad was exactly the same fighter that he was against Tyson Fury but 18 months older with 18 months of Ring Rust, which once you're in your 40's means a steep decline in your athletic performance.

Joshua beat a shell of former champion...and struggled like hell doing it. He's not even close to being Fighter of the Year.

If he beats Wilder and Parker in 2018, then sure he might deserve it then but definitely not for his achievements in 2017.

It will probably be Lomachenko but also GGG deserves it as much. He beat two top fighters and one of them was in the biggest fight of the year.

If neither of them I'd say Crawford or Rungvisai. Crawford's win over Diaz is definitely underrated. Diaz beat Lamont Peterson last year and got stiffed and would probably have beaten every other 140 pounder and some of the top welterweights.
