US Government vs their own Armed Populace. Who wins?

The U.S. Armed populace in a non nuke or biological war. Too many in government would be against the government attacking their own people and join the armed populace. Nobody trusts politicians and nobody(except psychos) wants to kill their family, friends, etc...

We had riots here in 2010/2011

They tried to fight us and got ruined

Do you know how it ended

Police gave up
they told the public to remain calm as the rest of the public did as they pleased

Then when the riots ended

They got everybody on cctv

Lengthy prison sentences as to strike terror into any future rioters

We as a people learned we outnumber our police force greatly and if we actually had a plan and leadership we would not be stopped

Governments have taken over before of course, but I think the people had to give up enough power for that to happen, namely handing over their guns, which has not happened here yet. I'd have to go with the armed populace unless they got so weak that they hand over their guns. At that point, they have us. It's over, outside of a coup which will take a long time to even get close.

I actually completely disagree. When war happens, it happens and these kinds of things go right back to the stone age. They'll figure it out quick. Survival instinct will kick it.

I'm sure the average civilian could never contemplate their life without their TV's and their cell phones, but the ones who want to keep this nation free from tyranny can and will. All it takes is one semi-large group of armed men to win one battle. I'm talking 50-100 men who are well organized. The success will be duplicated A war like that will never end until one side gives. All that would happen is history repeating itself.

America was built on winning. The Battle of Trenton comes to mind right now.
