I think there is a reasonable probability that if sent to a men's prison, this person would have raped someone and/or been raped.

The difference in that case is it wouldn't be a news story and no one would care.

I'm willing to agree btw that trans people convicted of raping women should not be sent to a women's prison. I just recognize the outrage does not happen when men or mtw trans are raped.
