The thing is, Americans won't support boxers blindly just because they are from America. They will only support elite talents. In other countries they will give support and fill up arenas even if the fighter is mediocre like the UK with khan, Canada with pascal, the entire career of Chavez jr comes to mind. Crawford has proven himself to be a top talent so his support will grow.

Alabama game lead in is what helped more than anything.

Nice, this is good to see. I hope Lomachenko-Pedraza can do similar numbers.

          Good point.

That whole weigh in punch incident made a non-sports news feed I follow.

Benavidez is a nobody and has never had a large group of the Mexican boxing fans backing him. Did you think the success of the Mayweather vs Ortiz PPV was because of Ortiz as well.

Great to hear. That was the type of gritty, throwback fight that casuals need to see. Hopefully they'll be coming back for more.

PBC and Golden Boy have to get its guys out of premium cable and into base cable or regular tv..

Now that FOX is back into Boxing , PBC guys need to get more tv time people like Spence, Tank, Porter, Fortuna, Broner, Mickey, Easter, Wilder, Ortiz, Charlo Brothers should be on FOX 3 time per years..

Oscar better get a tv network

No Surprise! On ESPN in the middle of College Football Season following the #1 College Football team in the Country game, that was a GREAT timing to display Crawford while people are tuning in looking for College Football Highlights as well. Good for Him!

There is more truth to that than exceptions. US fans want you to win all the way up. Once you get to the top its hard to fall off with an L or two, but on the way to getting known it seems if you lose its hard to overcome & you usually need to have an L far in your past or it be highly disputed for US fans to overlook it.

Meanwhile I see cats like David Price & the White Rhino in the UK who seem loved already & lose fights like nothing & people are cool with it.

Definitely different types of fans in the US vs the UK & likely other places.

True. One thing fans outside the US don't seem to understand is that most Americans don't really care where a fighter comes from. Sometimes they like them even more if they're imports. To get views in the states you gotta either bring drama or true talent. If you got both you'll be a star. Your country of origin doesn't really matter.
