good to see him back. i'd like to see him get into the picture in the ufc....there are some awesome matches at 170 (if he can make it) or 185. (vs. phil baroni? )

Anderson Silva needs to seriously improve is grappling skills if he wants a shot in the UFC. Newton was owning him until Silva got that yellow card for stalling and they got stood up. The knee was a fluke.
Daiju Takase was luckier than Newton was and choked him out

Explain to me how Newton was "owning" Silva...Anderson had a body triangle on Carlos the whole time they were on the ground preventing him to do anything and when they got back up *baam* good ****ing night. Anderson won, that's all.
They don't call him the Roy jones of MMA for nothing, young man.
Newton got caught by a knee he didn't see coming, just like silva got gaught by that triangle.

The KO wasn't lucky, but it was kind of lame that they start fighters standing in that situation. But Anderson sure took advantage of it. That's kind of a strange first name for a Brazilian, isn't it?

Also against Takase, Silva just didn't get caught by a triangle. Takase was seriously controlling him on the ground before he set him up for the sub. Silva could not mount any type of offense on his back during that match.
This post is in no way a diss to Anderson. He's obviously got a lot of talent, and he was good enough to beat up on Mach. But by comparing himself to Roy Jones Jr., the greatest pound for pound boxer and the most skilled in his generation, you just have to think he's full of ****.
